My husband bought me a new camera (Canon 7D) for my Anniversary/Birthday present and this was one of the first shots I took with it. Other than when I was just playing with the camera, of course. I was messing with the telephoto lens it came with to compare it with the other that I had. Definitely not a macro shot here!

It has been a very long time since I posted anything. I wish I could say this will get better, but it won't. My husband and I found out a couple months ago I'm pregnant :) and also we're moving to Alabama in about two months. So, between those two things, I don't see this getting any better any time soon. I do apologize for the lack of updates!

I am not a cat person, but I liked Adrian's kitty. She's so sweet and loves for Adrian to touch her paws. A lot of people see pets as just pets. Others see their pets as their kids. I fall into the latter group. I think the love is evident here :)

Sorry I haven't posted but I got that nasty stomach bug that was going around. I am headed out on a vacation and to photograph a dear friend's wedding. I will try to update from the road, with something besides air show photos, but no promises. See you all when I get back!

The C-17 and the KC-135 showing us an air refueling. The boom is being "flown" by a boom operator. Amazing stuff to see!

We had an air show with the Thunderbirds on May 2nd. It was extremely fun to photograph!

I have been cleared by my ortho doc to resume normal activities, which includes holding my camera up :) I finally got the camera of my dreams and am extremely happy with it. I can't wait to start posting photos I have taken with it! I do apologize for not keeping up with the photoblog. With the go ahead from my doc, that will be changing!

Chief Hall's place setting for his recognition ceremony. What an amazing accomplishment, achieving the highest enlisted rank in the Air Force. Congratulations Chief!

This is another shot from me goofing off with the new backdrop. I think this will be the last image I post from my playtime. I'm really looking forward to the Chief Recognition Ceremony. I just hope my shoulder doesn't protest too much. I'm hoping to get out this week and do some shooting, but I don't know how likely that is because I'm in the "just got out of the sling and shouldn't be touching the camera" phase. I don't want to push it too much.

After a long hiatus, thanks to shoulder surgery, I am back, and hoping to start doing a little portrait photography. I was asked to photograph the Chief Recognition Ceremony (coming up on Feb 19th) and bought a couple backdrops. My husband and I thought it would be a great idea to play with the backdrops with us as the test subjects. We had a lot of fun taking the photos and I'm so glad to be out of the sling!
